Situation<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:80%\">\n<p>Due to the high visibility of the rail projects as part of a larger country infrastructure development, and the commitment of the organisations to ensure those working on the rail projects returned home safe and well to their families, a significant investment was made to proactively define and align the safety approach and safety leadership required by all to deliver the projects safely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Those identified as in safety leadership critical roles were involved:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Executives and senior managers formed a steering team and held themselves accountable for creating the desired safe work environment and ultimately delivering the desired safety results.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervisors were developed and supported in the field to effectively lead safe work.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The workforce were proactively engaged in working safe, and safety champions were identified from the workforce to work with management and supervision to encourage and support safe work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:20%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading no-margin\">2.
